Forest artwork from the foothills
Appalachian Wildlife Wall Tapestries
The animals may catch your eye first, but ferns, pale roots, mushrooms and winding vines fill the woodland around them. Color moves from shadowed forest floors to sunlit leaves, making these Appalachian forest tapestries feel lush and alive.
Carolina Wren in the Beech Roots shown as a wall tapestry in a light, lived-in room.
The forest is part of the story
Every animal belongs to the world around it
I want the habitat to hold your attention too: the turn of a root, mushrooms along a log, leaves catching light and vines disappearing into shadow. Those quieter details give your eye somewhere new to wander each time you look.

Let the wall help you choose the size
Choose the animal, colors or feeling that keeps pulling you back. Then look at the wall and decide how much space you want the artwork to hold. A large open wall can take either orientation beautifully; in a tighter space, the shape simply helps you choose the size.
Wren, Chipmunk, Opossum, Screech Owl and Red Fox can give a narrow space height, and at a larger size they are every bit as strong on a broad open wall.
Black Bear, Rabbit and Wildcat sit naturally over furniture, and at a larger size they can make an open wall feel complete.
The forest up close
There is always another small thing to find
At this scale, the chipmunk’s face, the owl’s eye, the opossum’s careful paw or the fox half-hidden in the vines may catch you first. Then you begin to find the quieter things I worked into each scene: shelf fungi, lichen, bark, leaf edges and small shifts in light from one corner of the forest to another.
