Returns & Order Policy

These pieces are made to bring a little of the waterline home. Because canvas prints and fine art prints are produced for each order, the policy is simple: choose carefully, reach out if something is wrong, and damaged arrivals will be handled with care.

The Short Version

Shipping is included.

Standard U.S. shipping is included on all orders unless otherwise noted at checkout.

Most art shop orders are final sale.

Canvas prints and fine art prints are produced for each order, so returns and exchanges are limited.

Damaged arrivals are protected.

If your artwork arrives damaged, email within 72 hours of delivery with photos so the issue can be reviewed quickly.

Before You Order

Please review the product photos, size options, product type, and notes before placing your order. Canvas prints and fine art prints have different finishes and different ways of living in a room.

Color, scale, and feeling can shift from screen to room. If you are deciding between sizes or wondering whether a piece will feel right in your space, email studio@lakehouseportraits.com before ordering.

Canvas Prints

Canvas prints arrive finished, gallery-wrapped, and ready to hang. Each canvas is stretched over a 1.25" wood frame with clean wrapped edges and hanging hardware already installed.

Canvas is the best fit if you want a finished wall piece that does not need a separate frame.

Fine Art Prints

Fine art prints are archival giclee prints made on textured fine art paper. They arrive ready for your favorite frame and are designed for collected walls, gifts, and quieter frameable spaces.

Fine art prints do not arrive framed. Please choose this format if you want to select the frame, mat, and final presentation yourself.

Returns & Exchanges

Art shop purchases are generally final sale because each piece is produced for each order. Returns, exchanges, or refunds are not typically accepted for change of mind, personal preference, incorrect size choice, or because the artwork does not match your space.

That said, I want the experience to feel considered from beginning to end. If something feels genuinely wrong with your order, reach out so I can review it with you.

If Your Artwork Arrives Damaged

If your canvas print or fine art print arrives bent, damaged, or not as it should be, email studio@lakehouseportraits.com within 72 hours of delivery, ideally within 48 hours.

Please include your order name or order number, photos of the artwork, photos of the packaging, and a photo of the shipping label. If the claim is approved, a replacement will be arranged through the print lab.

Shipping Timing

Art shop orders are printed and prepared by U.S. production partners. Many orders are prepared for shipment within 5 to 10 business days, with delivery typically following shortly after.

Please allow about 1 to 2 weeks for most orders to arrive. Timing can vary by product type, size, production volume, destination, and carrier.

Shipping Address

Orders are shipped to the address provided at checkout. Please double check your shipping information before placing an order, especially for gifts, lake houses, cabins, or seasonal addresses.

If a package is delayed after shipment, the carrier tracking information is usually the best first place to check.

Custom Artwork

This policy applies to Lakehouse Portrait Co. art shop purchases, including canvas prints and fine art prints.

Custom portrait commissions and other custom artwork follow a separate process and are not covered by this page.
